The La Pine Water District was formed by Deschutes County election in 1997 in order to provide water to our growing community. Without the water system, growth in the La Pine area would be limited.

Currently, the District is run by five elected commissioners and has 2 full-time employees. We serve approximately 650 residential and commercial customers.

The cost of installing the water system was paid for by a combination of loans and grants obtained from USDA Rural Development, COIC and Deschutes County, among others. The total cost of installing the water system came to a total of over $4.2 million.

LA PINE WATER DISTRICT BUDGET COMMITTEE

The La Pine Water District is looking for interested parties to be on the FY12-13 budget committee.  In order to be eligible to participate as a member of the budget committee you must be a registered voter living within the District.  Please contact the office at 541-536‑3281 if you are interested in participating in the District’s budgeting process.

Upcoming Meetings

The district will be in Executive Session under ORS 192.660(2)(d) on Friday May 4, 2012 at 10:00 am. The meeting will occur at 51490 Hinkle Way in La Pine. There will be a Special Session immediately following at 10:30 am.

Budget Committee Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 5:00pm. The meeting will be held at La Pine City Hall located at 16345 6th Street, Ste #102.
