The La Pine Water District was formed by Deschutes County election in 1997 in order to provide water to our growing community. Without the water system, growth in the La Pine area would be limited.
Currently, the District is run by five elected commissioners and has 2 full-time employees. We serve approximately 650 residential and commercial customers.

The cost of installing the water system was paid for by a combination of loans and grants obtained from USDA Rural Development, COIC and Deschutes County, among others. The total cost of installing the water system came to a total of over $4.2 million.
As always, we welcome customers to contact us or attend meetings with any questions or concerns they may have. You can also click on the "Information" link at the top of the page for more information and FAQs.
